  1. Is it possible to change the rate at which samples are gotten? For instance I see in a couple locations in your documentation that you can get samples at 100 samples per second how do you go about setting this? Is it also possible to export the data to raw text ?

    • You can set the sample rate when the meter is graphing, by rolling the button to the left and right, 1sps, 2sps, 4sps,10sps, 20sps, 30sps, 50sps, 100sps are supported. Unfortunately, so far it is not supported to export data sampled at this mode. But you can record the data at lower speed by using the offline/online recording feature, in recording modes, the recording rate can be set from 1sec/sample to 60sec/sample, for more information, please look up online/offline curve recording section on the manual.

  2. After the V 1.78.4 firmware was installed “Create Diagrams” are maximum 1hr 3min 55sec at 1 sample per second with no other recordings in the CT-2 memory. When I change to 5sec/sample over 3 hour recordings are captured.

It is essential that the ChargerLAB Power-Z app save data in a common format for other programs such as CSV or Excel format. The only way to analyze data is using the Power-Z app which no filtering or analysis functions. Other similar products do allow data to be saved to some common format, most of them save to CSV format.

    Thank you, Mark

    • Thank you for your suggestion, the newest version 1.79.0 will be published soon, with new features including CSV export.

  3. Hello, I’ve got 2 questions.

1.) Every time I connect the CT-2 via micro USB to my PC, the LCD screen will turn on, but the Kotomi App will not recognize anything being plugged in. And it displays “No Port Available” in red. I have checked and verified that my computers USB connections are working, I have even tried a different micro USB cable. I have installed the drivers on my PC. Am I missing something?

2.) Also the Apple MFI test is probably not working correctly? I have plugged into a QC3.0 adapter on my car, and have used a verified MFI Lightning cable to test, yet it still results as a Fake even though I am using the lightning cable that came with my device.

This is a great piece of equipment, and I really want to like it, I just cant seem to figure out these small problems. Is there a new firmware coming out soon? Could you add an option to convert from celsius to fahrenheit? Is it possible to have a 12 hour clock instead of the 24 hour clock? I cant really recommend it until it absolutely 100% perfect, and I think it is very close to being that. Also USB read and write speeds would be great! Thanks in advance!

    • 1)Could you please tell me what version of OS you’re running? Or try to run it on another computer.

2)Please tell me what it displays on the screen when it turns to fake, this helps me to know on which step it fails.
The newer version of firmware 1.79.0 is about to release, temperature in fahrenheit is added. And I don’t know how to place a 12 hours clock on this layout, “AM/PM” seems very hard to fit in to the layout.

  4. Hello,
I have the issue as Smoody in his comment above.

“1.) Every time I connect the CT-2 via micro USB to my PC, the LCD screen will turn on, but the Kotomi App will not recognize anything being plugged in. And it displays “No Port Available” in red. I have checked and verified that my computers USB connections are working, I have even tried a different micro USB cable. I have installed the drivers on my PC. Am I missing something?”

Is there a solution to this issue? I’m running Win10.
    Thank you for your help

    • Hi,
Could you please right click on “PC”->”Property”->”Device manager” to see if the device is detected by windows? Or could you please send me the log of the app thru “Advanced”->”Log” on the Kotomi App?
